We, the undersigned, believe creating 2,000 jobs and bringing $354 million in annual economic benefits to our community is a good move for Oklahoma City.
We appreciate having a choice in entertainment options and believe the Shawnee Tribe’s proposed destination entertainment resort near the Adventure District will be a strong driver for the Oklahoma City tourism industry.
We want more than just a casino. We want a hotel and spa, restaurants and shopping, a theatre and bowling center, and other world-class amenities that this project would provide.
We agree with multiple economic studies that show a resort like the one being proposed can enhance an already healthy Adventure District and help Remington Park and other local attractions bring in more visitors every year, benefiting everyone.
We are excited about the Shawnee Tribe’s partnerships with Navegante Group and Friedmutter Group Architecture & Interior Design Studios. Both companies are global leaders in the entertainment and hospitality industries, and they share the Shawnee Tribe’s commitment to designing and building a top-quality resort of which the Oklahoma City community can be proud.
We believe the Shawnee Tribe will be a good neighbor and corporate citizen who will keep Oklahoma City's best interests at heart. We support establishing this site as a land base for the Tribe, which has lived in Oklahoma for generations and was recently restored as a federally recognized Tribe.
We believe it’s time for Oklahoma City leaders and elected officials to embrace the tremendous positives the Shawnee destination entertainment resort can bring to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County and the state as a whole. We urge them to support this important project.
