Misinformation and over-inflated figures are circulating about the impact of the Shawnee Tribe’s proposed entertainment resort in northeast Oklahoma City. That’s unfortunate. The Shawnee proposal offers tremendous opportunities for OKC, including:

• A $400 million private investment in an area that will greatly benefit from positive economic development
• Hundreds of millions of dollars paid to local government and schools
• Nearly 2,000 high-quality jobs with benefits for local residents
• Hundreds of millions of dollars for local government and schools
• Additional visitors and a destination resort hotel for all of the Adventure District attractions, including Remington Park
